Join me for a full-day creative play retreat—a whole Saturday devoted entirely to you, your hands, colour, and the kind of deep, unhurried making that most of us never give ourselves permission to do.

Together we’ll combine simple acrylic mixed media techniques and materials to create an inspiring, colourful piece to bring light, inspiration and joy into your heart + home. But more than that, this day is about slowing down. Disconnecting from the noise. Sinking into the rhythm of layering paint, making marks, and following your curiosity wherever it takes you. The kind of day where you look up, three hours have passed and your shoulders have finally dropped away from your ears.

The day will be sprinkled with meaningful conversation, gentle meditations, and a healthy heaping of kindness. No experience necessary. No pressure to make something “good”—just presence, play, and the company of a small group of humans doing something beautiful together.

Participants will create a 20 x 20″ painting* using a gallery canvas, professional paints, markers, and tools. Collage and dimensional elements can be brought from home to add texture and interest. A small 5 x 5″ birch panel is also provided for additional play! *If another size is of interest, please specify in an email to me, and I will be happy to swap it out and adjust materials cost accordingly.

Supplies are included, and a light lunch will be served.
Water, tea + coffee available all day.
Participants are welcome to bring their own snacks.
You are welcome to bring your own adult beverages—please drink responsibly and/or consider alternate transportation.

Limit of four (4) participants to ensure adequate spacing—perfect for friends, siblings, couples, and solos.

REGISTRATION POLICY: Advance payment is required to hold your spot. All bookings are final. No refunds or date changes. If you can’t attend, you may gift or sell your spot to a friend. If I cancel, you’ll receive a full refund or credit.

LOCATION: This event will take place in the second-floor studio of my Kanata/Stittsville home. Details will be sent via email a few days prior to the first class.

HEALTH GUIDELINES: As these events are held in my home, participants are asked stay home if feeling unwell. You can transfer your spot to a friend, or contact me to inquire about coming another time.
