Sure, we’ve all answered the question, “What would you do if you won the lottery?” That’s not what I’m talking about when I say living your best life. Think about how you would like to enjoy each day… Where are you living? Who are you spending quality time with? What are you doing for work, for fun? How do you feel? What boundaries do you have in place to protect your values and energy?

We don’t need to win the lottery or be free from work to be living our best, and most authentic lives. We do need to understand and be true to how we want to feel, and what deserves our time, attention, and energy.

Have you ever consciously chosen to spend an entire day—or longer—in complete silence? I’ve heard of and been curious about silent retreats, where participants leave their tech at the door, and communicate only with body language… for days! I talk to myself at the grocery store, so I struggle to imagine I would have much success with this kind of challenge, but I am going to give it a try today.

Have you ever caught yourself spewing negative self-talk (🙋🏼‍♀️), or muttering things under your breath about people you see or interact with? We all do it.

When we cast judgement onto ourselves or others, we are choosing not to love.
