Let me start by saying… Joanne’s energy is infectious! And her passion for sharing her knowledge shines through the moment you meet her! Sometimes it’s hard to try new things as an adult. We’re afraid to “fail”, or be bad at something. But in Joanne’s classes, it’s true when she says “No experience required!” She has a way of breaking things down, in a fun and playful way. You’ll be painting/doodling/creating in no time! Bet you can’t stop at one class—I definitely couldn’t!
I have gone from saying “I’m not artistic” to including “Budding Artist” in my Instagram bio. All because of Joanne’s gentle, yet encouraging coaching method, during which she helps you explore and bring out your inner creative self—which I have since learned we all have hidden inside of us. I highly recommend reaching out to Joanne to discover your hidden creative self.
I’ve attended a few modern calligraphy/hand lettering workshops and Joanne is as lovely and kind as she is talented! She is a great teacher —100% recommend checking out an event or workshop, you won’t be disappointed!
I took a 3-hour workshop (Intro to Brush Calligraphy) with Joanne and it was excellent. She was well-prepared, broke the techniques down in a meaningful way so that they were more digestible, and was able to motivate a range of talent in our small (7 people) workshop. I would definitely take another class taught by her.
Joanne came to my house to give me a one-on-one calligraphy class. She is very good at teaching! Very detailed, encouraging and kind. She is has a very special energy that makes it fun to learn. Thanks again, Joanne!
Small personal class—relaxing and inspiring!
Decided to do something more amazing than I could possibly imagine, and attended one of Joanne’s fabulous art workshops, “Outside the Lines”. It was the most wonderful way to start a weekend, and not only was Joe a wonderful and gracious hostess, but she reminded me of how important it is to truly find your spirit and live your best life, to let go, and chase away those fears and insecurities you may have through the form of painting/art. Thank you so very much for such an awesome time, Joanne. I know it will not be the last time I do one of these workshops!
